While everyone is distracted, Jesus said ”Watch”

If you knew that Jesus would return tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year, what would change in your life?

Would you spend your time differently? Would you forgive someone you’ve been holding resentment against? Would you share your faith more boldly? Would you pray more, worship more, or focus less on things that won’t matter in eternity?

This is a wake up call!

When we think about the end times, it’s easy to become focused on signs, timelines, and predictions. Yet Jesus consistently pointed His followers toward something more practical: being ready.

Life seemed normal. People were busy with everyday activities and were minding their own business. There was nothing wrong with eating, drinking, or getting married. However, while Noah was preparing for what God had spoken, many mocked him and carried on as if nothing would ever change. Then the flood came.

Jesus then gives a clear instruction:

Living daily with heaven in mind

The message of the end times is not meant to create fear but urgency.

Many of us live as if we have unlimited time. We postpone important conversations, delay obedience, and assume there will always be another opportunity tomorrow. Yet Jesus reminds us that there will come a day when time runs out.

No one knows the exact day or hour of Christ’s return, but we are called to live in a way that reflects our expectation of His coming.

Imagine how differently we would live if we truly believed Jesus could return at any moment. We would place greater value on people than possessions. We would focus more on God’s Kingdom than on temporary success. We would make sure our priorities align with what matters for eternity.

There will be a time where there will be no more time

I will never forget a dream I once had.

I saw a large football stadium filled with people cheering, celebrating, and having a great time. But underneath the stadium, hidden from view, I saw an enormous huge field of white harvest ready to be gathered.

In the dream I blinked my eyes just once and the harvest was gone. The Lord was showing me how fast it will happen in the end times.

I don’t know why I saw the harvest below the stadium, but it reminded me that many faithful Christians go unnoticed. Our labor is often hidden from the world, yet God sees every prayer, every act of obedience, and every seed sown for His Kingdom, and in the end it will all pay off.

The dream left a deep impression on me.While the world is often distracted by entertainment, success, and daily concerns, there is a spiritual harvest all around us. There are people searching for hope, truth, and salvation.

The opportunity to reach the lost will not last forever. The opportunity to get right with the Lord will not last forever. Right now is the time to live right and to do what is right by his grace.

The message of the end times is not simply that Jesus is coming back. It is that we should live today with purpose, urgency, and expectation. Let us not assume we have all the time in the world. Instead, let us stay watchful, faithful, and ready, living each day as if Jesus could return tomorrow.
